Earlier, the single-malt distillery would cart out thousands of tons of <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1190801-4202256.cloudwaysapps.com\/biofuels\/whiskey-byproducts-used-to-make-butanol-a-biofuel-for-cars.php\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener noreferrer\">byproduct from whiskey manufacturing<\/a>, to a pipeline terminal, spending about $30,000 on an annual basis. Now, instead of having the byproduct tossed out, the distillery is using it to feed two anaerobic digesters that use it all to <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1190801-4202256.cloudwaysapps.com\/alternative-energy\/park-spark-digester-disposes-off-dog-poop-to-light-a-lamp.php\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener noreferrer\">create methane<\/a> using bacteria. The methane, when burned as fuel, now powers up a substantial part of the facility, and juices up an on-site <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1190801-4202256.cloudwaysapps.com\/transport\/the-new-nissan-leaf-all-electrical-and-coming-soon-in-2010.php\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener noreferrer\">Nissan Leaf<\/a> too!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nAnd to celebrate its efforts Bruichladdich has unveiled a Leaf edition organic whiskey too!
