Airplanes<\/a> are in for a serious loss of weight up ahead, with aluminum<\/a> producer Alcoa\u2019s newest development, a light-weight aluminum alloy that can help aircrafts cut short on about 10% of their body weight. Alcoa claims the new aluminum to be a lot more well off than the composites<\/a> currently used for building aircrafts. That\u2019s not all. Besides cutting short on weight, the new aluminum will also add to passenger comfort, allowing for larger windows to the clouds outside, higher humidity in the cabin, lower cabin and last and most importantly, better fuel efficiency.<\/p>\n
