We all have had a glimpse of the best-selling Toyota Hybrid, the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1190801-4202256.cloudwaysapps.com\/transport\/toyota-prius-sales-top-1-million-mark.php\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener noreferrer\">Prius<\/a>. Well, it\u2019s time the Prius met its predecessor, developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1190801-4202256.cloudwaysapps.com\/transport\/porsche-unveils-special-edition-911-gt3-r-hybrid-to-celebrate-1-million-facebook-fans.php\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener noreferrer\">Porsche<\/a> nearly a century ago! Back in the 1900s, Ferdinand Porsche came up with a hybrid car that used technology, not too unlike our hybrids use today. The company built an exact replica of the good old hybrid and brought it down to the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1190801-4202256.cloudwaysapps.com\/transport\/volkswagen-unveils-the-2011-touareg-hybrid-suv-at-auto-show-.php\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener noreferrer\">New York Auto Show<\/a>, creating quite a spectacle and leaving just about everyone present in awe. Called the Semper Vivus, this $750,000 reproduction proudly played grand-daddy to the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1190801-4202256.cloudwaysapps.com\/transport\/porsche-panamera-s-could-be-companys-surprise-hybrid-release-at-geneva-auto-show.php\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener noreferrer\">Porsche Panamera S Hybrid<\/a>, also present at the show. Using a single cylinder engine and two 2.5-kilowatt generators, this one boasts 3.5-horsepower engines, a top speed of 35 mph and a battery range of 25 miles.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nWeighing in at 3,700 pounds, this ancient hybrid car replica by Porsche literally brought tears of awe to our eyes!
