Renewable energy generation is thee need of the day, as the world is slowly turning its back on fossil fuel use in a desperate attempt to save our environment from further depletion and doom. Anyways, here’s another technological boost to hydroelectricity generation, with designer Phil Pauley’s Hydrostatic Turbines. These turbines are designed to be self-sustainable electric power plants that operate underwater. Made up of a “body” and a “cap”, the turbines are set up in groups and transfer energy via cables to land, or by retrieving the storage cells that they use. The pumping action of the cap like top keeps each unit spinning, generating electricity.
