\nConverting heat into electricity will in future, be a lot more efficient, thanks to Lonnie Johnson and his development, the Johnson Thermoelectric Energy Converter. The engineer, ex-NASA scientist and inventor has chiseled out the JTEC that could increase the efficiency of current heat to electricity systems two times over. By simply splitting hydrogen atoms into protons and electrons, this prototype creates electricity, without the use of any moving parts. The scientist has been working on this one for decades and hopes that the invention will help convert solar energy into electricity with an efficiency of up to 60%, almost that of coal. This could, in the future, change the way the world powers up and generates electricity.<\/p>\n


\nIf the technology is developed on the right scale soon enough, we might just wave goodbye to those ever-polluting coal power plants we\u2019ve been using all along.
