Certainly not a Bell helicopter on a liquid diet, we\u2019re talking about the Dragonfly, a 230-pound helicopter that uses hydrogen peroxide for fuel, emitting no smelly carbon or other environment-harming products, just water. With speeds of up to 100 knots, the Solo helicopter can stay up in the air for a full 90 minutes, before it needs refueling. The US military are keen on the developments, and are sincerely looking forward to rid fossil fuel use, for both, security reasons and to help save the environment. Using two small 102 horsepower-equivalent rocket motors that are mounted on the rotor itself, the Dragonfly is easy to fly, requiring just a hand and no pedal work.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nThe helicopter costs as much as $120,000 though, a bit too much taken that it gulps down 11 gallons an hour of hydrogen peroxide, each costing about $4.
