\nThis sure sound\u2019s like a paradox, but IBM have recently developed and delivered a supercomputer, \u201ccooled\u201d by \u201chot\u201d water to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich). This never seen before technology opens doorways to a whole new age of computing, green and energy efficient unlike the previous generations. Using water at temperatures of up to 140 degrees, this cooling system, christened the Aquasar, consumes up to 40 percent less energy than a comparable air-cooled machine. Using the waste heat to provide warmth to the university building, the Aquasar helps wipe out the carbon footprint to a further extent.<\/p>\n
