\nNippon Denko Co Ltd proudly beholds the completion of a plant that will produce positive electrode materials. These will be used in automotive lithium-ion batteries that in turn will be used to power up EV (Electric Vehicles). The plant can produce 2000t annually and will start manufacturing in spring this year. Manganese is used to make positive electrodes and have a strong spinal structure that prevents crystals from breaking due to overcharging of batteries.<\/p>\n


\nNippon Denko will manufacture these manganese positive electrode materials. Earlier, the company produced these materials specifically for electric power tools and motorized bicycles. However, the new plant will enable the company to produce these for EV\u2019s and HEV\u2019s. Located in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, the plant spans an area of 2,000m2. The company has not yet spilled the beans on which companies will use these materials for their batteries.
