An amazing blend of the old and new designed by Nigel Irens is a personification of traditional craftsmanship mixed with state-of-the-art hull dynamics and electric motive technology. The 24-ft. FE Elektra is powered by a 144-volt, 23 kw lithium-iron-phosphate battery array that is good for around 3,000 recharges. It is connected to a Lynch high-torque V-drive electric motor that propels the craft at speeds of up to 15 knots per hour, or seven knots for 80 miles.
