So when it comes to building a green cycle, a Japanese company stopped at nothing to get the best technology on board. So it decided that not only will it put in an electric motor to assist the rider but, adding in hydrogen cartridges for that added boost in performance. The 31kg\/156cm-bike reaches an assisted travel range of up to 45 miles.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nThe hydrogen cartridges are sold by the same company, but there\u2019s also a lithium-ion battery (26V-4Ah) on board. Power is supplied by the battery once the hydrogen in the cartridge runs out (the bike then switches automatically from hydrogen to battery mode). The carts have a volume of 80nl and need to be placed in a small tank behind the saddle.
