The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course in collaboration between a Hong Kong university and Denmark-based engineering company SolarDrive. The solar-powered golf carts are able to capture and convert daylight into sufficient energy to power them year round, even on cloudy days. The carts charge themselves as they go. The SolarDrive can out-perform battery-powered carts owing to a solar panel studded with long life mono- or poly-crystalline solar cells protected behind tempered solar glass providing excellent light and energy transmission. Even on cloudy days, it mechanically produces sufficient energy while it\u2019s being driven.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nThe $45 million SolarDrive project is part of a citywide environment project.
