In order to cut down on energy consumption and the costs that come along, Google has decided to do away with the chillers in its Belgium data center. Using fresh air to support the cooling system, the engineers at Google believe that Belgium\u2019s climate will provide the necessary cooling temperature almost all round the year.  And for those days when the sun is mean, they have a backup plan to turn off equipment as needed in Belgium and shift computing load to other data centers. Such a free cooling system will make local weather an issue in network management.
