Spain’s GTA powers up the Spano Supercar with ethanol to 840hp
Spanish automaker GTA is following the Doge Viper’s footsteps in creating a kick ass engine with ethanol in lieu of gasoline. It will be borrowing the Viper’s V10 engine from Dodge for use in its new $670,000 Spano supercar. Alternate engine mapping allows the flex-fuel engine to put out a ridiculous 840 horsepower when running on ethanol. The Spano goes to an estimated top speed of 217 miles per hour, while the run to 60 mph is expected to take a scant 2.9 seconds.
This car is supposedly the only car in the world, built from materials based on aeronautical technology. Other cool features of this power pack includes a chassis made out of carbon fibre, titanium and Kevlar, glass roof with its exclusive lighting and opaqueness system, manual sequence gearbox, automatic sequential with paddle shift or manual in H and exclusively guaranteed with only 99 models manufactured.
