• Riding below the waves with electricity, the Platypus watercraft

Ever wondered what it would feel like to ride below a boat, just like the shark in the Jaws series spent his time doing? Well, you probably haven’t imagined that before, though we just came across a green watercraft that enables you to do just that! Christened the Platypus, this one hails from the land of love and romance and avant-garde designs, France. You can leave it to the French to come up with something as extra-ordinary as this. The craft can travel for up to eight hours at 10-12 knots above the water or at 3-4 knots with you and a fellow sea-explorer riding beneath the waves. Powered by electricity, the craft stores all its energy in a lithium polymer battery pack and also requires the pilot and his passenger to wear no sorts of equipment whatsoever, except a mask.

The design once perfected will sure aide researchers and joy-riders with a below-the-waves experience powered by electricity. For now, all we’re left with is scuba diving!
