Jaguar to manufacture limited number of CX-75 Hybrid supercars
Automaker Jaguar has decided to give the world a taste of its very own hybrid supercar, with plans to manufacture and release a limited line of the CX-75 Hybrid, a car that won grabbed the hearts and wonder of many at the Paris Motor Show in 2010. The company has confirmed plans to produce 250 of these cars, costing a whopping £700,000 – £900,000 a pop. Powered mainly by a turbocharged petrol engine, the car will also pack two electric motors and a four-wheel drive system for added punch. The car boasts Co2 emissions of less than 99g/km, a considerably less amount for a car this fast. With a top speed of more than 200mph, pushing down the pedal on this one makes it sprint to 100mph in less than 6 seconds!
Weighing in at about 1350kgs, Jaguars green hybrid supercar is the first concept to be mass produced by the company, good enough to keep the Porsche 918 trailing behind.
