This is an aircraft that is claiming to be the world’s first commercially available electric aircraft. The Yuneec E430 is a twin seat, single engine. This lightweight composite-construction E430 charges in three hours from a domestic 230 volt powerpoint, runs for two and half hours on a charge. The plane made its maiden flight on June 12 at the Yuneec factory near Shanghai, China, driven by test pilot Shun Xun. It has low maintenance, simple to fly, and has reportedly got low noise and lack of vibration. This aircraft would cost you $89,000 when it goes on sale next year.
