Farm lying down with the solar powered Wunda Weeder
The crops need harvesting, but your back’s sore and you need rest. Well, here’s an innovative way to farm, while lying down. Now working on a farm can be tedious and difficult, even with all the technology we use today. Simple innovations like this one make the job a lot easier though. No longer do you need to suffer the curses of a bad back with all the kneeling down, sitting down and walking around while farming, thanks to the Wunda Weeder, designed by two Australian inventors. Currently a prototype, the contraption by environmental scientist Brendan Corry, and electronics expert Peter Sargent is a four-wheeled metal frame with a stretcher-like bed below and a sunshade above. While a user lies face down, this solar-powered structure keeps your hands free to work.
To move around, a user needs to use a hand lever, pepping up the solar powered motor. And incase you’ve pulled the last plant out halfway, you can reverse too! This innovation sure makes farming a “ling down” affair.
