Dubai’s H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum encourages mass transit usage by hopping onto a metro train

It’s not very often you’d see a Sheikh riding in a Metro train, with most of them sticking to their own limos and luxury saloons to travel around. However, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai recently took the nation by surprise by hopping on to a metro train. The head of state then posted his images on Facebook travelling on the metro, in an attempt to encourage the people of Dubai to leave their cars at home and use mass transit instead. With the Dubai Metro finally having swung the doors open to its Green Line Metro network recently, Dubai could probably pull tons of carbon emissions away from its ecosystem by having its people leave their gas-guzzlers for a cleaner and greener ride to their destinations.
