All-electric Vehicle Pod by Zipcar

If all this talk of electric cars are depressing you as you don’t have the kind of money to invest in yet or, even if you are one of those high flyers who don’t stay put in one place for too long, then Zipcar’s new service may allure you. It has announced the launch of its first Electric Vehicle Pod including an all-electric vehicle (EV) Citroen c1 and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Toyota Prius. This is their way of showing how concerned they are about the world and giving their customers the choice of convenience, cost savings and a help in reducing carbon emissions.

This launch comes after some research done on Zipcar members which stated that ‘they would be interested in driving a plug-in vehicle’ and so they released the first PHEV pilot program in San Francisco which was pretty successful as well. And it seems that the company has estimated more than 100,000 unique members having driven an EV or hybrid.
