Solar-powered twelve-legged bug will fascinate eco-entomologist

Creepy-crawlies never fail to make me shudder under my skin. And this techie, man-made version succeeded in doing the same. Gosh, why do we need to make one? To top it, power it with solar energy to move? This twelve-legged insect-like structure is powered by four solar panels. Originating from Theo Jansen’s autonomous Strandbeest driven by the wind, I fail to understand the need to construct such an eco-friendly techie-bug!
