The winner of a recently held National Creativeness Competition for Youth has created a robot out of items collected from trash bins. Vu Van Thang, a recent enrolment at the HCM City Industry University has built a walking robot out of old soda cans and tuna containers. The robot has 11 small motors to control and simultaneously move the robot’s arms and fingers just like humans. It’s amazing how he used a thrown out game controller as the control console for the robot. It also earned him one of the five top prizes at the National Creativeness Competition for Youth. Sure makes one wonder at what a gold mine that pile of trash can be for the truly green at heart.
