Not really a new invention, but the SolarCharger906 is a portable device that lets users charge their mobile phones or ipods from the suns solar energy. But this particular device is a little different from the other solar chargers when it comes to the size. This device is a small, compact one, being as small as a deck of cards that would easily slip into the cars glove box or a purse. The charger on the outside is made of monocrystalline solar panel with a special solar chipset. This special and unique design allows more power to be made from the sun than the other regular solar chargers.

The SolarCharger906 can be fully charged in 22 hours of exposure to optimal sunlight and within 3 hours when charged with a USB. The battery is a 1260mAh unit and the device measures 4.13″ L x 2.52″ W x 0.59″ T and weighs 3.53 ounces. The SolarCharger 906 sells for $60 and is available now.
