Powcell set to launch light powered mobile charging sleeve

Powcell is all set to launch a light powered sleeve to charge mobile phones. This sleeves slides easily behind the phone and continues to power it. It is designed such that it looks like an integral part of the phone, and when the sleeve is taken out, it continues to charge through light. This charge is used to power the phone when it’s placed on the sleeve. this sleeve can be a saving grace when your phone is out of battery during that crucial business call.

Powell plans to design this sleeve for iPhones and BlackBerry’s for now. They have meticulously carried a 3D scan of the iPhone to get the correct dimensions and create a sleeve to fit its grooves perfectly. Once all the basics are in place, Powell will start a full fledged production of these. The concept looks very interesting now and app crazy iPhone users will certainly be delighted at the prospect of having additional battery. Other phone manufactures are also said to be approaching Powell to create a prototype for their cell phone models.
