The solar powered robotic Husqvarna promised clean green lawns last year. Now the company has moved on and rolled out an avant-garde mower that boasts of being greener. Dubbed as Husqvarna Panthera Leo, it packs in more power but makes lesser noise. Though still a concept, this green grass-eating beast is designed to be shaped out of recycled materials. This hybrid made up of two ride-on mowers, Rider and Zero-Turn. The press release states, ‘Five powerful electrical motors partnered with a sound absorbing cutting deck, allow the Husqvarna Panthera Leo to glide effortlessly and silently across your lawn. The three individually suspended cutting decks enables this mower to mow smoothly over bumpier parts of your garden, avoiding lawn scalping. The cutting decks each have razor sharp blades for a close cut finish and can be controlled to suit wide or narrow lawns (from 85cm up to 120cm).’ An LCD screen displays all the information and assistance to help the gardener trim his lawns immaculately.

Based on zero-emission technology, rechargeable Lithium-phosphate battery and plug-in system, the product does look promising in its conceptual stage.
