Energy-efficient VIA NSR7800 network storage device

VIA technologies has launched a new energy-efficient network storage device called the NSR7800 2U rackmount server. It has a 1.5GHz C7 processor with a gigabyte of DDR2 system memory, eight 3.5 inch S-ATA II hard drive bays and a dual-gigabit LAN. The company says it can save up to 50% more energy and will also generate less heat as compared to others in the same segment.

The VIA NSR7800 server costs $599 but without hard drives.
