eMetric to help cut costs and save energy

Since cost cutting is in vogue now, companies can think of using this new technology for further money and power cost cuts. eMetric is an office power management system has two programmes, the eMetric Powerstrip and eMetric Application that will keep in touch through a wireless network and share usage data and shut-off protocol. It can control outlets and compare with others in the same network. In this way there can be a countdown on who uses the most energy and the least thence keeping an eye on how much monitor energy is consumed and how much can be saved. The wireless transmitter comes in green and white and of 0.1kW and is used to send data infrequently.

The eMetric is one of the top 50 entries for the bright ideas at the Greener Gadgets Design Competition and is created by Jason Deperro from the United States.
